Nags Head, NC – Last December 18th, Cassandra was in the Pitt County Memorial Hospital (Greenville, NC)  giving birth to her son. He was a preemie which required her to spend an extensive six week stay away from home.  The Ronald McDonald House was a Godsend at the time, offering a sanctuary for her and she was especially appreciative of the other families that came bringing food and gifts.  This year, Cassandra decided to “pay it forward” and do what she could to help other families who will be guests at the same house this holiday season, while their loved ones are in the hospital.  She is going back and bringing with her a Christmas feast of covered dishes and treats, a collaborative effort by many of her friends from the Housekeeping division of Village Realty and from her Outer Banks neighborhood.  Her son is a now a healthy, happy and very active toddler.  Cassandra is asking for stocking stuffer donations she can bring to the children who are in the Intensive Care Unit. All donations should be received at the Nags Head Village Realty office by December 10^th.

Who wouldn’t want a hand-crafted surf board for Christmas?  Vince, Manager of the Pools & Spas department, has donated Retro Fish” custom made surf boards to the “Hotline” Festival of Trees fundraiser for the past six years. This year his surfboard will feature a beautiful hibiscus design Village Realty logo.  The 2010 Festival of Trees will be held indoors at “The Pearl Restaurant” located in the Sea Ranch Hotel on the beach road in Kill Devil Hills, the first weekend in December.  Last year’s donation of two surf boards which were auctioned off brought in over $900.00.
